Training Lead - Paris or London, France Full-Time The Training Manager’s goal is to help define and implement a learning strategy that will support MUJI’s goals through providing ongoing development to our team members across Europe in order to retain the very best talent.
Being a brand ambassador, this role will be responsible for all learning and development initiatives from the research, adapting materials for Japan Head Office, design of programs and delivery of training either by facilitation of individual or group sessions.
Role and responsibilities
Training Delivery & Planning Ensure that all training activities are strategically planned and executed in alignment with business objectives, supporting operational excellence and team development.
Program Design & Collaboration Partner with the Sales and HR teams to design and implement training programs tailored to business needs, employee roles, and evolving market demands.
Onboarding & Induction Lead and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive and engaging induction experience for all new starters, fostering early engagement, brand alignment, and performance readiness.
Standards Auditing & Refresher Training Collaborate with the management team to audit operational standards and develop refresher training sessions to ensure all staff remain compliant and aligned with brand expectations.
Performance Management Support Assist in the annual performance review process by providing tools, coaching, and training that support performance conversations and individual development plans.
Succession Planning Work closely with management and regional teams to identify high-potential talent and support the creation and execution of robust succession plans.
Effectiveness Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Evaluate training effectiveness through a mix of methods including KPI tracking, Mystery Shopper results, feedback surveys, on-the-job observations, and performance outcomes. Identify skill gaps and training needs based on results and implement timely follow-ups or adjustments.
Learning Culture & Innovation Stay updated on emerging trends in learning and development, integrating innovative and engaging learning solutions (e.g. digital learning, micro-learning, coaching frameworks) to continuously enhance the employee experience.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Provide clear reporting and insight to leadership and key stakeholders on training outcomes, engagement levels, and return on investment, using data to influence future learning strategies.

Education and experience • Retail experience at a managerial level. • Training/coaching qualification advantageous. • Previous experience in creating learning materials highly valuable.
