![]() David - Regional Manager How did you get to your current role? I started at MUJI in 1996 as an Assistant Manager in MUJI Shelton Street, in Covent garden and then went on to manage the original MUJI West Soho store which was the first overseas store set up outside Japan and was attached to the Liberty building at the top of Carnaby Street . I helped to set up and run the Oxford St store and helped with the further expansion of the company in the UK. How long have you worked for MUJI? A long time!! 26 Years!! A bit of what you do in your role at MUJI? I and my Operations team look after the day to day running of the MUJI UK stores and website and I plan the strategy of our business for the UK market. What excites you working for MUJI? One of the main things that I have discovered about working for MUJI is the variety of opportunities it gives you. As there are so many different product categories and services that we offer to the customer, each day brings something new, with a business culture that allows you the opportunity to personally make a difference. What are you the proud of from your time working at MUJI? In the recent past I am so proud of all the team at MUJI for helping the company come through the tough COVID period and now we are looking at new and exciting developments in the UK which will help bring us closer to our customers and share new services and ideas that will contribute positively to the communities we are part of. What is the best thing about working for MUJI? This is an easy one to answer as it is the most common as it is the most common answer on all our HR surveys…. the people!
