Julien - Assistant Manager France ![]() How long have you worked for MUJI? Today, I have been working at MUJI for six years and a half. How did you get to your current role? I started in 2015 at the Forum des Halles store, where I was a Sales Assistant. My curiosity and my desire to know all the diversity of MUJI products led me to work in both the Textile and Household departments. Gradually, I began to develop my skills and become more confident, and I decided to take a chance to move up. And I had the opportunity to become a Co-Manager. I then joined the Francs Bourgeois shop. What have you learnt from working for MUJI? This job has allowed me to acquire new skills, such as training and managing a small team of salespeople. I have a big interest in Japanese culture, having studied Japanese and spent a year in Japan. I enjoy the atmosphere of the shops brings back a sobriety and minimalism typical of Japanese culture, where rigour goes hand in hand with ethics. This is also what I particularly like about MUJI. Versatility is one of the main skills I have gained from my experience at MUJI. The diversity of the items and the clientele prevents monotony from setting in. I also see that my work is noticed and valued, which makes me want to stay at MUJI. |
